Facebook may be considering changing the playback algorithm of videos posted on its platform . According to information released by Mashable , the largest social network in the world is testing a new format of video playback , with a limited group of users in Australia. While some of these users have the option to turn the sound over the video playback (via an icon in the lower right corner of the window ) , others say that the sound starts while the video or it automatically when the device is not in silent mode.
To be adopted, the new format automatic video playback may turn out to become a real "headache " . Many users make the so-called "scroll down" the Facebook news feed as an almost mechanical and unconscious task, a kind of meditation of the digital age . Speaking to US site , an unidentified member of Facebook said the company is testing a new way to consume media on the platform, and want to offer the user the ability to choose whether you want the sound to play at the same time the video or not.
