OnePlus is taking the correction

When looking for a system update on a smartphone OnePlus (either automatically or manually ) the IMEI is sent to the servers of Chinese brand but the information does not suffer any encryption, making the whole process unsafe .
This is a problem that has been flagged on the official forum of the brand , to the OnePlus ensured that would be addressed in a future update. With the release of Oxygen 3.5, everyone expected the OnePlus had released a fix for this problem. But , according to an XDA user , the process of sending the IMEI shows the same fault , not having suffered any correction by the brand.

It's serious this flaw ?

This security flaw can be especially serious when a public network is used to check for updates and can be a hacker who is aware of this network and easily collect this type of information . For users , there remains only hope that OnePlus decides to release a new update in order to finally fix this problem.
