Spotify penalizes artists who make contracts with competition

The music streaming is now one of the largest Internet business . Spotify , Apple and other dominate this market and can have the monopoly of artists. The rules should be basic and understood by everyone , but now Spotify seems to want to control the artists , penalizing them if they award contracts to competition .

There is no evidence that actually happen , but several sources point for granted that Spotify is penalizing the artists who decide to exclusive releases on the platforms of the competition. The way to penalize these artists is sinking them in the research results tables , leading to that are not preferred by those who use the service. This practice results in a loss of revenue for artists. There is also the loss of seats in playlists, which users will often see what's new , the songs that were exclusively on competition. According to industry sources connected this is not a recent practice , being in use for more than one year. In recent months it has up - to intensified.
