Adobe decided to revive Flash on Linux

There is much that the Internet tries to kill Flash and all associated technologies. It's more than proven that the resource consumption that does not outweigh the benefits and that is scheduled to disappear.

But even with this route destination, Adobe has now reborn do it on Linux, preparing for the update soon, revealing plans to finish it.

Flash Linux

The fate of Flash is traced. Should soon die and give way to new, more capable technologies and lower resource consumption. This movement has already started with the end of Flash support in many browsers and the arrival of HTML5.

With all these certainties about the future of Flash, Adobe came to announce that the Linux version will soon receive improvements that will approach the versions created for other operating systems. This was an update that was expected for 4 years.

Today we are updating the beta channel with Linux NPAPI Flash Player by moving it forward and in sync with the modern release branch (currently version 23). We have done this significant change to Improve security and Provide additional mitigation to the Linux community.

This is an update that was needed and it will also bring improvements to security and integration with Linux itself.

Flash Linux

For many Linux users Flash is not a necessity, since use browsers like Chrome, which brings integrated the Flash PPAPI version. But those who use other browsers, such as Firefox, you see the requirement to install this version (NPAPI).

At a time when most browsers is ending support it is strange that Adobe will now make it reborn in Linux, one of the platforms where it is more difficult to have it working perfectly.

This may be the last breath of Flash, now that increasingly is being abandoned for creating content for the Internet. The support is also increasingly smaller, that supplements this end of its cycle.
