Chrome for Windows gets improvements in battery consumption

Google's browser, although dominate the market, is having a competition increasingly fierce and arguments that make it appealing.

To further improve Chrome, its latest version brings significant improvements in energy consumption and in other sensitive areas.

Chrome

It was Microsoft that had made public show that Chrome is far from being a friend of the browser batteries. Differences times over the Edge stood at around 50% and this is significant.

But Google wants to blur these differences and enhance their browser and so the latest version, 53, brings improvements in Windows 10 that allow to increase the battery life and reduce energy consumption. Of course, there are still no comparison values, but it is expected that Chrome is now more efficient.

In addition to this improvement, this version also brings even more Material Design to the Google browser, with this browser now have changes in icons, tabs and other elements, and more plans.

There is also a new undercover mode, which makes use of a darkest image to distinguish their use. The other improvements are in the code and intend to give Chrome walking stability.

This improvement in energy consumption will be seen mainly in the use of CPU and GPU and also where Chrome is being used to play video, one of its weakest points.

It is positive to see Google to finally take action to make your browser more adjusted to the expected energy consumption, leaving aside your battery consumer fame. If you do not have this version, try it in Chrome updates because it should already be waiting for you.
