Panasonic and Sony point to 8K transmissions already in 2020

Japanese technology to want to present the 8K masses during the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo and, therefore , intend to convey some evidence in this resolution.

The Tokyo Olympics are still four years away , but the Japanese technological want to surprise and have already begun preparations for the event. 2020 for at least one goal set : the 8K . According to the Asian publication Nikkei , both Panasonic and Sony are about to formalize a partnership with NHK broadcaster to invest in the joint development of technologies capable of supporting the transmission of content in 8K .
To confirm , this may be the practical implementation of the tests conducted during the NHK Rio Games that already during this edition showed some selected parts 8K.
Against this background , Panasonic and Sony may be the bridge needed to connect this resolution to the homes of viewers . At a time when the 4K is still far from resolution as massification "standard" , the offer TVs with twice the resolution is naturally minimal and of course expensive .
The focus on development of devices with this resolution should not , however , reverse this reality. According to the same publication , although companies are interested in extending this partnership to other technology to speed up processes , none of them is interested in devote himself more diligently to build 8K TVs. Both Panasonic and Sony consider that the growing market needs and therefore will continue to invest at 4K resolution as the first for this segment .
