Allo Google wants to bring new content and intelligence for instant messaging

It is not the first time (or will probably be the last) that Google tries to dethrone other apps in the world of instant messaging, but Google Allo seems to be a bet on the right track.

On departure the model adopted in Google Allo is simple: allow the exchange of quick messages, but also fun, with emoji and usual stickers. The integration of Google wizard that makes the difference, with suggested responses according to the context, directly in the chat.

Now no need to exit the application to give an indication of a path on the map, or to seek suggestions for a restaurant for dinner. And the Smart Reply only allows one-touch choose a quick response, which will adjust to their style of responses and learning their habits.

If you do not have anyone to talk to can "put up" with the staff of Google assistant. just write @google the App to "call" this tool and put questions about the weather, traffic or sports. For is already available in English only, but Google wants to extend its use in other languages.

Microsoft blocks installation of Linux on Lenovo machines?

In recent times the approach Microsoft to Linux world has taken place at various levels. While many have considered that Microsoft was a "good friend" of Linux, here comes the information that the Redmond company does not allow users to install Linux on Lenovo machines.

But is Microsoft's fault, Lenovo or Linux?

A user with the nickname BaronHK recently published on reddit that tried to install Linux on your ultrabook Yoga 900 ISK2 but without success. According to the user, there was also attempts to install a Yoga and Yoga 900S 710S but this was not possible.

Curious about what was going on, you went to the store where you purchased the equipment, where he was informed that his ultrabook was part of the "Signature Edition" program and in this sense there was a lock to the BIOS level that does not allow the installation of other operating systems. This levy is part of an agreement that Lenovo has with Microsoft.

This system has the Signature Edition of Windows 10 Home installed. It is locked per our agreement with Microsoft

Speaking to site TechRepublic, Cassim Ketfi a Lenovo representative said that there is no block at this level both Lenovo and Microsoft, however, those responsible for these Linux systems have to release the appropriate drivers. According Ketfi, the problem is the lack of support for RAID configuration of the machine storage.

To Improve system performance, Lenovo is leading an industry trend of Adopting RAID on the SSDs in Certain product configurations. Lenovo does not intentionally block customers using other operating systems on its devices and is fully committed to providing Linux certifications and installation guidance on a wide range of products -https: //support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/pd031426. Unsupported models will rely on Linux operating system vendors releasing new kernel and drivers to support features such as RAID on SSD

Despite statements the truth is that now that this case was made public it was found that there are many users with the same problem. Does Lenovo should document and help in this situation?
