We are facing a new "space race." But this time is not between the United States and the Soviet Union, as happened in the late 1950s, but between SpaceX and Blue Origin.

According to advanced information by Reuters, the space company Bezos announced yesterday that it has developed a reusable rocket that will "to fight" the manned spaceflight program of SpaceX Elon Musk. This spatial device called New Glenn and, if all goes according to the plans of the Amazon CEO, the first commercial flights take place already in 2018. The rocket was named after astronaut John H. Glenn, the first American to orbit Earth in 1962.

As in Falcon 9 SpaceX the New Glenn are also reusable, i.e., they are designed to be used more than once. However, no rocket never taken off twice. This is the very fact that some of these vehicles landings be "troubled", damaging the equipment and preventing it can be reused.

But it should be noted that SpaceX, in late August, was revealed intention to start reusing the Falcon 9, which has not happened yet. It is also noteworthy that a day after revealed these intentions, one of the rockets Elon Musk company exploded during ignition tests. However, SpaceX ensured that the rocket concerned, it should be released two days later, it was again not to be reused. The cause of the explosion is not yet known and caused the company losses of millions of dollars.

The Falcon 9 that exploded had engaged one Spacecom Israeli communications satellite that was part of Internet.org project, under the tutelage of Facebook, and should provide access to the internet in some regions of sub-Saharan Africa. The Spacecom is require indeminizaĆ§Ć£o to SpaceX 50 million - or a free trip to space
