Last Tuesday was rich in news for the technology industry. While San Francisco sediava the presentation conference of the new iPhone 7, New York served as a stage to Sony that there took the floor to present two new consoles.

The innovations were not properly shrouded in mystery. Several months ago that we talked about the possibility of seeing debut a version more "lean" and other more powerful PlayStation 4 and that's exactly what the Japanese technology made known: the Slim PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.

The first is indeed familiar. Since the first model of this console that Sony has a habit of launching a more compact version and this fourth generation turns out to continue this tradition.

Internally, the PS4 Slim is completely identical to her older sister and the only point of distinction between the two lies in the smallest size (30% less volume than the PS4) the latter has and the elimination of port optical input. Even in the design, and as usual, Sony decided to keep the features that characterize this generation, just by changing the arrangement of the light bar that gives identity to this fourth family of consoles.

On the other hand, inversely to this thinner version PlayStation Pro grows in relation to PS4. However, here, the news does not lie just outside this up because it is the more muscular version of the Sony game systems to date.

The equipment, which until now was spoken under the name of Neo code will come with support for games at 4K HDR, which in practice means that the console will be able to deliver a more immersive visual experience and better contrast levels when (and only when) play a 4K TV. For this, Sony was forced to make an upgrade inside the console which resulted in the replacement of the hardware used in the PS4 (CPU, graphics, GPU) for more powerful versions but still do not support playback of Blu- Ray 4k UHD. The hard drive, for example, now comes with root 1TB.

The PS4 Pro back still a new rear USB port which is intended to speed up the connection of various peripherals brand as the virtual reality headset.

In terms of appearance, this system gets a floor face to the standard version of PS4 which consequently gives you a more robust look.

At the conference on Tuesday Sony yet booked a space to showcase a range of new accessories that complement the upgrade led to its family of consoles. A new DualShock 4, with a light bar visible on the front panel, a new camera and a new vertical support for the new consoles were the objects presented.

The PlayStation 4 Pro will hit the stores on 10th of November with a price of 399 €. The Slim version already comes to 15 September and will cost 299 € .
