Microsoft has removed the YouTube Windows Apps store

The creation of Google's applications for Microsoft's mobile ecosystem is virtually nonexistent. The applications that exist are mostly the result of Microsoft's work, which has slowly passed to the developers responsible for creating them.

But a cleansing that is taking place, Microsoft decided to remove from your application store official YouTube app, which was developed in partnership with Google.

The YouTube app designed for Windows Phone has a long history and which involved some disputes between Microsoft and Google. Initially created by Microsoft, quickly crashed by API changes made by Google. Joining forces, Microsoft and Google have managed to create then a new version, which was quickly abandoned by both parties.

With a clean running in Windows applications store where you want to remove applications that are abandoned and have no updates a few years ago, Microsoft decided now remove (their) YouTube application.

Given the limitations of this application, due to the own YouTube already provides on its website and applications in other systems, is no stranger to Microsoft option to remove this application from your store. Probably this was also an application already few active users and therefore will not be missed.

With an already varied range of applications dedicated to YouTube in its application store, Microsoft's decision is not unreasonable and is easily justified.

The Mytube app! It is an excellent example of a YouTube support application that is already present throughout the Microsoft ecosystem, having been developed in order to also be used on Windows 10, Surface Hub and even in HoloLens.

This "cleansing" Microsoft is being done consciously and without regard to companies or developers. As you can see with this decision, no matter the developer or company that supports them.
