Samsung announces sale of its HP printers division

Samsung announced Monday the sale of its printer division to Hewlett-Packard in a deal that earned the coffers of the South Korean technology about 1,050 million dollars.

According writes HP in a statement, "This acquisition will enable the company to break and reinvent the market of printers worth 55 billion dollars and is a segment that has not innovated in the past decades."

This is the largest acquisition of HP in this market and will put under its dominion over 6,000 employees in a satellite company that still continue to sell printers to Samsung.

It is recalled that on Monday the Asian technology came to lose in the South Korean market with their shares to register declines of around 7%.

In a statement, the company also announced a change in the presidency of the Board that was shorn from 2014 to hospitalization Kun-Hee Lee. Instead, his son, Jay Y. Lee, will take the place.
