Apple creates jobs but can not get out of " the dock " in Europe

While preparing to expand its infrastructure in Ireland , the brand of apple is grappling with the tax evasion charges launched by the European Commission .

Apple has received a few days ago the green light to move forward with its expansion project in Ireland , more precisely in the city of Cork, which is present for more than three decades and which employs well over 5,000 people , according to the Irish Times . The expansion project is the construction of a building in the industrial complex of Hollyhill and creating about 1,000 new jobs . The creator of the iPhone has been the big driver of development of the city of Cork , the second largest in the Republic of Ireland, and the government in Dublin has seen with very good eyes the technological presence.
However, the "special relationship" established between the Irish government and Apple has been heavily criticized . In 2014 , the European Commission accused Apple of resorting to subterfuge financial reporting to avoid paying taxes. In addition, the EC pointed an accusatory finger to own Dublin government, claiming the transfer of tax breaks to US company in exchange for the creation of jobs in the country .
Both defendants vehemently deny any involvement in illegal practices. According to Bloomberg , Apple might be sanctioned in billions of dollars, if it were to be found guilty of tax evasion. The process results can still be released this week .
