Google spends 625 million dollars to buy Apigee

Mountain View technology will acquire the US company development of Apigee application programming platforms. The deal is expected to amount to 556 million euros.

Google is about to close an acquisition agreement with Apigee a business that should be around 625 million (approximately EUR 556 million), reports Reuters on Thursday.

The company, based in the Californian city of San Jose, specializes in the development of application programming platforms with joint cloud and includes companies like Vodafone, the World Bank or Burberry in its client portfolio.

For each share, the technology of Mountain View should spend about $ 17.40 one year after the company opened its capital market with shares of 17 dollars.

According to the news agency this is another director of the bet Diane Green who, in recent times, has been trying to take the company to play an ever more central in the world of enterprise computing.

"Companies are transcending the traditional means of communication such as calls and in-person visits, to adopt programmatic communication through IPAs (Application Programming Interfaces)," the American told Reuters.
